Painting and Drawing Step by Step

Three sessions available: 10am-1pm or 2pm-5pm or 6pm-9pm

This course will start from the basics, gradually establishing fundamental drawing skills and basic art theory through step-by-step instruction in sketching, color theory, quick drawing, art history lectures, and emulation of masterpieces.

The course philosophy is to discover and cultivate students who are patient, have taste, love art, and are willing to consider art and aesthetics as potential career paths in the future.

The course welcomes students of all levels and will establish a personal profile for each student, providing targeted instruction for each aspect (modeling ability, color foundation, art theory, creativity) based on individual needs.

Basic drawing materials will be provided for the course and the classes will be small to provide maximum one-to-one teaching.

In order to understand the students’ abilities, and requirements, the first and second classes for each student are free.

Course leader: Dr. Ji Wang, artist and research scholar in aesthetics and sociology, with over ten years’ of experience in teaching art.

Price: £45 per session. 1st and 2nd classes are free.
