The Shape of things to come: Recent Paintings by Leonard Green. Born in Leigh in the North West of England, Leonard Green moved to the South West in 1984 to take up a position in the art department of Millfield School, a prestigious independent school in Somerset. As a successful artist, he has exhibited across the UK including at The Royal Academy.

Showcasing recent work, the large and colourful paintings in this exhibition reflect the artist’s preoccupation with order, chaos, structure and rhythm. Purely abstract works, Leonard Green’s paintings reference his interests in calligraphy, Chinese art, music, especially the 60s ‘Northern Soul’ popular in the dance halls of his home region.
