I seek out landscapes from which I can combine my disciplines of drawing and printmaking. 

Being ‘on the path’ is an important source of inspiration for me and I have followed various routes both here and abroad, pausing to draw in a sketchbook en route, carrying forward the work drawn on my travels back in the studio. 

Responding to colour in the landscape is a theme I return to. I work into sheets of lino by cutting or etching the surface. The cut shapes contrast with the softer etched areas producing a vibrant image composed of richly stained colour layers.
