One Drop, Infinite Ripples
An exhibition at Bath Artists’ Studios for the Festival of Nature 2025, 6th-15th of June 2025
This summer, Bath Artists’ Studios presents One Drop, Infinite Ripples - a group exhibition exploring the interconnectedness of water, creativity, and community, as part of the city’s annual Festival of Nature.
Drawing inspiration from the elemental force of water, the exhibition brings together artists whose work responds to rivers, rain, tides, and the many ways water shapes both natural environments and human experience. From local ecosystems to collective memory, climate justice to ritual and renewal, the exhibition invites reflection on the ripples our actions create, whether in nature or in society.
One Drop, Infinite Ripples also gestures toward an increasingly urgent conversation: the simultaneous erosion of clean, accessible waterways and the spaces in which artists and communities can come together. While not its central theme, the exhibition recognises that creative and ecological resources are both vital - and vulnerable - parts of the fabric of our cities.
We welcome interest in supporting this project. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the exhibition’s private view, closing event, and a collaborative community artwork developed during the show. We also invite proposals for talks, readings, or book launches to be held in the gallery space during the exhibition period. For all enquiries, please contact the curator, Rita Lazaro, at info@ritalazaro.co.uk
This exhibition forms part of Bath Artists’ Studios’ wider commitment to socially engaged practice and environmental awareness, and aims to foster dialogue between artists, local communities, and decision-makers at a time of significant change for the city.
