Bath Artists’ Studios invites submissions for One Drop, Infinite Ripples, an environmentally focused exhibition exploring our relationship with water, its power, its fragility, and the urgent need to protect it.

Taking place as part of the Festival of Nature 2025, the exhibition aims to highlight the deep connections between natural ecosystems and human communities. We are calling for work that reflects on water as a vital, threatened resource and as a source of renewal, resistance, memory, and transformation. From rising tides and polluted rivers to sacred springs and acts of collective care, artists are invited to respond with depth, originality, and purpose.

This is a moment to engage with the climate emergency through art to ask difficult questions, imagine different futures, and share local stories that echo across wider landscapes.

We welcome submissions in the following formats:

• Painting, sculpture, drawing

• Mixed media, installation

• Sound, performance, text-based work

• Digital-native artwork (presented on screen or projection)

Please note:

• No photographic works will be accepted (a separate exhibition covers photography)

• No digital prints will be accepted; all work must be original

• Digital works must be exhibited in screen-based formats only

Selected artists will be part of a high-profile exhibition aligned with Bath’s leading environmental festival, with opportunities for engagement with community groups, policy influencers, and wider audiences committed to climate justice and creative action.

Exhibition dates: 7-15 June 2025
Private View: 6th June 2025, 6-8 pm

There is a £10 hanging fee for any chosen work.
