Kiki Lynch

Fine Artist

Hi Kiki!

Could you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your practice?

The overall message of my work was originally exclusively about pain, although in recent years it has evolved to take on elements of hope. I enjoy exploring emotions in the work and the challenge of making the pieces aggressive and beautifully melancholy. Mostly working on large-scale abstract expressionist pieces with raw emotion, I have leaned towards being a gestural painter because I can express my emotions best if I can embrace the materials.

As a fairly new member of the BAS community, what drew you to being part of the studio and what are your hopes for your time here?

I was drawn to BAS due to its large scale artist collective and their standing in the community.

I’m currently working on a new series at the studios called ‘P’ which will keep me very busy over the next year at least. I will be presenting a few pieces from the series in the open studios in September.

How can we find you (socials, website etc)
