Kiki Lynch
Fine Artist
Hi Kiki!
Could you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your practice?
The overall message of my work was originally exclusively about pain, although in recent years it has evolved to take on elements of hope. I enjoy exploring emotions in the work and the challenge of making the pieces aggressive and beautifully melancholy. Mostly working on large-scale abstract expressionist pieces with raw emotion, I have leaned towards being a gestural painter because I can express my emotions best if I can embrace the materials.
As a fairly new member of the BAS community, what drew you to being part of the studio and what are your hopes for your time here?
I was drawn to BAS due to its large scale artist collective and their standing in the community.I’m currently working on a new series at the studios called ‘P’ which will keep me very busy over the next year at least. I will be presenting a few pieces from the series in the open studios in September.
Have you got any courses or workshops coming up?
Yes I’ve got two different offerings starting this September
Yes, my Lifedrawing and Pinup class can be found here!
And my Long Pose day can be found here!
How can we find you (socials, website etc)
