Figurative Painter, Part Time Potter

I studied at Chelsea School of Art and Falmouth College of Art and later gained an art history degree from University of Queensland. I have taught drawing and painting at Bournville School of Art in Birmingham, art history at Brisbane College of Art and painting at QUT in Brisbane.

Over recent years my interest has been in Japan where I took up a residency in 2018, which was very productive for several years. Most recently I have been painting figures in interiors, intimate and personal. Previous to my trips to Japan I was mostly interested
in finding my subjects in historical paintings and museums.
